Solar Site Analysis
If you are ready to go solar, congratulations! It is very important to be sure that your home is already operating efficiently before you go solar. If you have questions about whether or not your home is efficient enough to go solar feel free to give us a call or start with a home energy audit, however, if your home is operating efficiently and you have a lot of sun on your roof we can help you take the next step.
If you are planning on having a solar system installed on your roof, first make sure that you have a south facing roof that has lots of sun. The south facing roof is important. If you are planning on installing a system in your yard, again, make sure there is no shade (or very little). If you feel like your home meets this criteria it is time to give us a call to schedule a solar site analysis!
The solar site analysis will take about 30 minutes. We will need to access the roof area or ground area where the system will be installed, and take a look around the house. We will also need to know 12 months of electrical consumption data and 12 months of heating fuel data (gallons of oil, propane, natural gas, wood, pellets, kerosene, etc.). When we are all done we will write up a report and send it to you by email or sit down to go over it. The report will explain precisely how much sun you get each year at the location of your potential system, whether or not you qualify for incentives and rebates (and how much), how much electricity you will save each year, how much money it will cost, and we will provide you with system specifications. Contact us if you have any questions.
